By Joel Locsin, 15th November 2014;

A dolphin perished after being washed ashore at Currimao town in Ilocos Norte province Friday night.

The dolphin measured nearly two meters long and weighed about 60 kilos, according to a report on GMA News TV’s “News TV Live.”

Citing information from the provincial fishery and regulatory coordinator, the report said the dolphin washed ashore at high tide and failed to get back in the water as the tide fell.

Residents tried to get it to the water but it died from exposure to the sun.
