Reticulated Python (Malayopython reticulatus) (?)
Bukit Merah, 21st May 2011

This skeleton of a medium-sized snake was found along the KTM railway tracks that run through Bukit Merah. Because of the size of the snake, my guess is that this is a Reticulated Python that could have been struck and killed by a passing train.

This Lesser Green Emperor (also known as the Hairy Emperor) dragonfly was found on the KTM railway tracks that run through Bukit Merah. Although it was still twitching and technically not quite fully dead, the fact that its head had been almost completely severed meant that it qualifies as a Monday Morgue entry.

Domestic Dog

Domestic Dog (Canis lupus familiaris)
Bukit Merah, 21st May 2011

The scattered remains of this Domestic Dog (including the skull, several limb bones, and scapulae) were found in the vegetation along the KTM railway tracks that run through Bukit Merah. It was most probably killed by a passing train.

Reticulated Python

Reticulated Python (Malayopython reticulatus)
Bukit Merah, 21st May 2011

The dismembered head and neck of this large snake was found along the KTM railway tracks that run through Bukit Merah. Because of the size of the snake, as well as the general shape of the head, my guess is that it is a Reticulated Python that could have been struck and killed by a passing train.
